Eunice Ester (Bathurst) Pullman

Eunice Ester (Bathurst) Pullman, 99, of Osceola, Iowa, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, July 31, 2026.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the Winterset Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.caldwellparrish.com. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Eunice was born on December 08, 1926, in Greenfield, Iowa, to Jay Curtain Bathurst and Elsie Agusta (Hager) Bathurst. She grew up on a farm, where she learned the values of faith, hard work, and family. After the loss of her father at a young age, Eunice found comfort in the steadfast prayers and example of her grandmother, whose love for Jesus deeply influenced her life. On August 20, 1941, Eunice accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, a decision that guided every aspect of her life.

She graduated from Orient High School in 1944 and continued her education by attending Emmaus Bible College and AIB College of Business.

On June 15, 1952, Eunice was united in marriage to Emerald A. Pullman in Greenfield, Iowa. Together they built a loving home and shared many wonderful years until Emerald's passing in 1988. A proud Navy veteran, Emerald remained the love of Eunice's life.

Eunice devoted many years to serving others through her work. She was employed by the Internal Revenue Service in Des Moines for six years, worked in Army Supply and Recruiting for three years, served one year with the Iowa Secretary of State's Office, and retired after more than 22 years with the Iowa State Department of Public Health in Des Moines.

A faithful servant of Christ, Eunice was a longtime member of Faith Fellowship and Grace Bible Church. Her relationship with the Lord was the cornerstone of her life. She loved Christian women's Bible studies, personal devotions, listening to the Bible, attending Bible camps and conferences, and encouraging others in their faith. She was known by family and friends as a true prayer warrior who faithfully prayed for those she loved.

Eunice found joy in life's simple blessings. She enjoyed sewing for family and friends, reading, gardening, making handmade cards, and writing heartfelt letters. A creative soul, she treasured every opportunity to spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Though she never drove, she was blessed by the kindness of friends and coworkers who gladly provided transportation, and she often spoke with gratitude about their generosity and care.

Above all, Eunice was known for her kindness, gentle spirit, and unwavering faith. She consistently put others before herself, and her life was a beautiful testimony of Christ's love. One of her favorite Bible verses was Galatians 2:20, a fitting reflection of the faith she lived each day.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Linda (Myron) Casterline, Mike (Donna) Pullman, Greg Pullman, and Laurie Pullman; her grandchildren, Chris, Nicole, and Myranda Casterline, Dani (John) Sharp, and Dustin Pullman; her precious great-grandchildren, Chasen (Kirsten) Selsor, Chelsea Selsor, Chaley Selsor, Coen Casterline, and Cody, Caydon, and Cayleb Uihamohaano; her great-great-granddaughter, Kelsey Selsor; as well as many kind and caring nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Emerald A. Pullman; her parents, Jay and Elsie Bathurst; and her siblings, David Bathurst, Rachael Caviness, Doris Bathurst, Pauline Mainellis, and James Bathurst.

Eunice's family rejoices in the assurance that she has been welcomed into the presence of her Savior, whom she faithfully loved and served throughout her life. Her legacy of prayer, compassion, and steadfast faith will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
