Private memorial services for Erich Seifert, 82, of Perry, Iowa will be held at a later date. Erich passed away, Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Dallas County Hospital. Erich Seifert was born March 19, 1940 in Durr Kunzendf, Germany, the son of Alfons and Martha (Schnalle) Seifert. The family moved from Germany in 1951 and settled in central Iowa. The Dayton Stagecoach Inn near Bouton was his childhood home. On December 21, 1973 Erich married Carol Bollerman in Adel, Iowa. The couple moved to Perry, Iowa in 1979 where they have lived for the past 43 years. Erich worked for Asgrow Seed Company until his retirement. Survivors include his wife, Carol Seifert of Perry, IA; daughters, Holly (Chrysti) Seifert of Omaha, NE, Ericha Seifert of Omaha, NE; brothers, Joseph Seifert of California, Alfons Seifert of Adel, IA, Karl Seifert of Mesa, AZ; and one sister Elfriede Leporte of Wisconsin; one granddaughter Lily Schwarz-Seifert of Omaha, NE. Preceding Erich in death were his parents, and two sisters, Maria Bills and Anna Seifert. Memorials will be directed to the Raccoon River Pet Rescue, 14360 Ivy Place, Perry, IA in Erich’s name.
