Eloise Eyerly

Eloise Eyerly, 98, of Macksburg, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Azria Health Winterset.

Eloise Ada Schulz was born April 25, 1927, in Macksburg, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Thera (Callison) Schulz. She was united in marriage to Walter Eyerly on July 3, 1943, in Maryville, Missouri. Together they shared many years of life and family before his passing on June 22, 1985.

Eloise devoted her life to her family as a homemaker and also worked for many years as a waitress at the Macksburg Café, where she became a familiar and friendly face in the community. She was a faithful member of the Macksburg United Methodist Church and the Women’s Relief Corps (WRC) of Macksburg. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting.

She is survived by her children, Wayne Eyerly of Piedmont, Oklahoma, Alan Eyerly (Sheila) of Guthrie, Oklahoma, and James Eyerly (Debbie) of Midlothian, Virginia; three grandchildren, Brooklyn, Kyle, and Cody; and three great-grandchildren, Tatien, Addison, and Genevieve.

In addition to her husband, Eloise was preceded in death by her son, Ben Eyerly; and her sisters, Margaret Schulz Kisher and JoAnn Eyerly.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 30, 2026, at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, Winterset Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at the Macksburg United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Moon Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the family for a future designation.
