Duwane Charles Parkerson

Funeral services for Duwane Charles Parkerson, 64, who passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, IA, will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday October 7 at the First Baptist Church in Horton, KS. Burial will follow in the Horton City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, October 5 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home and Crematory in Urbandale, IA. Duwane graduated from Horton High School in 1968 and later attended Clarks Business School. Duwane married Lynn Stohs Christy on December 29, 1984. He worked in the trucking industry his whole life. Duwane was a member of the First Baptist Church in Horton, KS. Duwane is survived by his wife, Lynn; mother, Lola Parkerson; siblings, Patricia (Gary) Anderson, Robert (Donna) Parkerson, Peggy (Rick) Schuetz, Cheryl Hobbs and Sherri Nelson and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Parkerson, Jr. and brother, Kevin Parkerson.
