Duane Haas

Duane Maurice Haas, 85, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2024.

Duane grew up in South Dakota and married his high school sweetheart, Rochelle (Olsen) Haas. Together they had 3 children.

Duane served honorably in the Air National Guard of South Dakota from 1956-1962 as a weapons control systems mechanic. After his service to our country, he was a livestock broker, working with ranchers across the upper Midwest and West. Duane loved working with people in selling insurance, furniture, and real estate.

Duane was quick witted and loved to laugh. When he could, he would spend time fishing, hunting, and golfing, which he especially enjoyed doing with his family.

Duane is survived by his 3 children, Brian (Janice), Doug, and DeAnn (Craig) McCue, 4 grandchildren and spouses, and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rochelle.

A celebration of life will held on Saturday, September 7 at 11 am at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Urbandale. Family would love to say hello an hour before.
