Donald Renshaw, 92, of Perry, IA formerly of rural Dallas Center

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church for Donald Renshaw. Officiating will be Pastor Ken Bose and organist Chuck Schott. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in rural Minburn. Pallbearers are Brandon, Jamie, Jared, Bret, Jeremy, Devin, Trevor Renshaw and Bryan Clark. Honorary pallbearers are Kristen Lenagham, Brittany Bitner, Kelly Buckingham, Ashley Bartz and Heather Huth. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Murdock Funeral Home. Donald passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 at Rowley Masonic Home.

Donald Dean Renshaw was born October 10, 1925 in rural Dallas Center on the Renshaw farmstead. He was the son of Dewey Lee and Nettie (Leggitt) Renshaw. He married the love of his life, Norma Jean Agnes Bannick, January 24, 1947, nearly 72 years ago. They loved to travel and took many memorable trips.

Don loved to play pool and bowled on the local bowling leagues. He was an avid fisherman, and would venture off to Canada on a fishing trip two or three times a year, in his prime. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Don truly enjoyed his seventeen years as a Pioneer Seed Salesman. Pioneer Days was always a highlight to Don as he enjoyed entertaining his customers.

Survivors include his wife Jean Renshaw of Perry, IA; one daughter Janet (Larry) Clark of Cumming, IA; two sons Larry Renshaw of Dallas Center, IA, Vern (Deanna) Renshaw of Minburn, IA; one sister Joan Rogers of Conway, MO; thirteen grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren.

Preceding Donald in death were his parents; one brother Robert Renshaw; two sisters Louise Tuttle and Darlene Agee. Memorials will be directed to St. Croix Hospice in Donald’s name and may be sent or brought to Murdock Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at murdocfuneralhome.net
