Donald “Benji” Fredrick Benton

Donald “Benji” Fredrick Benton, 79, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2026.

Born on May 2, 1947, Donald lived life in his own way. Of all the things he enjoyed, fishing was undoubtedly his favorite. It was something that brought him happiness throughout his life and will always be a part of how those who loved him remember him.

Donald was a father, grandfather, brother, and loved one whose passing leaves a space that cannot be filled. While life doesn’t always give us enough time or all the moments we wish we had, the love we carry for someone remains.

Donald is survived by his children, Michael Benton, Dawne (Jessie Weishaar) Benton, Chad Benton, Jeremy Benton, and Desiree Benton; his grandchildren; and his sisters, Laurie (John) Head and Colleen (Cal) Boarder, along with extended family and those who knew and cared for him throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, LuVern and Lois Benton; his sisters, Serena and Susan; and his brothers, Sam and Kenny.
