Denise Jessica Allen Dorpinghaus, 49, of Coon Rapids, IA, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Panora Specialty Care in Panora, IA. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 3, 2026, with a visitation one hour prior beginning at 10:00 AM at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory in Perry, IA. Denise was born on August 13, 1976, to Frank and Debra (Ozbun) Allen in Jefferson, IA. She graduated from Perry High School in 1994. Denise married Bobby Dorpinghaus on May 6, 2000, at St. Martin Church in Perry.

A woman of many talents, Denise worked as a CNA and caregiver, operated her own daycare, and contributed her time at the Raccoon River Pet Rescue when it was in Adel, IA. She loved cheering on the Minnesota Vikings and Iowa State University, playing cards, crafting, and making dog toys. Her three dogs, Devo, Bruno, and Oakley, were her pride and joy, often considered her children. Denise had a special gift for bringing joy to everyone she met, always ensuring smiles and happiness wherever she went. Family was at the heart of her life, and she never missed a family gathering or special event.

Denise is survived by her husband, Bobby Dorpinghaus of Coon Rapids; her parents, Debra and Frank Allen of Perry; her brother, Dale Allen of Wichita, KS; and her brothers-in-laws, Marty and Steven Dorpinghaus. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dwight and Rose Ozbun, and Frank Sr. and Joy Allen.
