Delores "Dee" June Allen

Delores June Karnes Allen, age 84, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt passed away June 10, 2026 peacefully in her sleep. A visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, June 19, 2026 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory in Adel, IA. A memorial service will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Minburn United Methodist Church in Minburn. Interment will take place at Elmwood Cemetery in Minburn. Delores was preceded in death by her parents Robert and June Karnes, brother Robert Karnes, Jr, husband Ronald Allen, daughter Rhonda Allen, grandson Patrick Frantz, father in law Robert Allen, mother in law Mary Allen.

Delores was born in Des Moines, IA on January 27, 1942. She left behind her children Roberta (Steve) Frantz, Ronnie (Tina) Allen, Roxanne (Tom) Cuyler, Becki Allen, sister Becky (Lane) Hensley, her sister in law Dixie Jennings, 10 grandkids, 19 great grandkids, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Delores was a long time in home daycare provider and was known as Grandma Dee to not only her daycare kids but to a lot of kids in Minburn. She was an avid reader who served on the library board for many years. She enjoyed country and gospel music, dancing, playing cards and board games, camping and spending time with family.

She will be dearly missed.
