David R. Brelsford

David Rollin Brelsford, son of Fred and Emma Donelson Brelsford, was born November 5, 1922 in Perry, Iowa, and died December 2, 2007 at the Rowley Memorial Masonic Home in Perry, Iowa, at the age of 85 years, 27 days. David attended Douglas rural school, and graduated from Perry High School. David married Phyllis Fisher on May 26, 1949. They farmed north of Perry where they raised their daughters, Shirley and Barbara. David continued farming until he was nearly 80 years of age. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Phyllis in 1988; brothers, John (Polly), Robert (Mildred), and Martin; sisters, Mary (Cecil) Tilton, and Hazel (Ken) Shearer; brother-in-law, Ronald Baldridge; and nephew, Fred. He is survived by his daughters, Shirley (Mike) Murray, and Barbara (Art) Welp,; five grandchildren; 3 grea-grandchildren; sister, Grace Baldridge; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
