David Michael Williams, age 68, of Winterset, Iowa, passed away on February 14, 2026, at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
David was born on May 20, 1957, in Winterset, Iowa, the son of Robert Gene and Phyllis Kathryn (Trevillyan) Williams. He was raised in Winterset and graduated from Winterset High School with the Class of 1975. Following his education, David began working in the parts department at Brittain Standard Parts, later transferring to Adams-Thompson John Deere in Winterset, and then Van Wall Equipment in Urbandale.
David was a member of the Mustang Club of America and had a lifelong passion for classic cars. He enjoyed attending and showing cars at numerous car shows throughout Iowa. David also enjoyed golfing, fishing, and spending time outdoors, especially walking on local trails and being on the lake. In his younger years, he cherished camping with his family and traveling throughout the state of Iowa.
He is survived by his father, Bob Williams; his children, Amanda Williams and Angela Williams; his sister, Kimberly Williams; his uncle, Delbert Trevillyan; as well as many cousins and wonderful friends whom he considered family.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Williams; his significant other, Stacie White; his paternal grandparents, Lyle and Harriet Williams; and his maternal grandparents, Richard and Bertha Trevillyan.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the family for designation at a future date.
