David Harris

David Harry Harris, age 78, passed away at his home on November 26, 2020. David was born on December 11, 1941, in Independence, LA. During his career he worked for Meredith Corporation and R.R. Donnelley, devoting 30 years to each company. In addition to his love for travel, David was a devout man of faith who served as a Deacon at Corinthian Baptist Church in Des Moines. Alongside his strong faith was his deep love for his family. He is survived by his wife Clardzell of West Des Moines; two sons, David, Calvin and Fabian Harris; one daughter, Sharon (Rex) Cooper, one grandson and two granddaughters. He will be missed by his extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Mamie, and two brothers. A private service will be scheduled at a later date.
