Danny Joe Fowler

Danny Joe Fowler, son of James Henry Fowler and Dora Mae (Walker), passed away peacefully in the home of his eldest son, Thomas James Fowler, in Woodward, Iowa on September 5, 2026.

Danny was born on April 5, 1959, to Jim and Dora Fowler in Montgomery, Louisiana. He went to school in the Tri-County Schools and lived/worked the majority of his life in the Keokuk County area of Iowa.

Danny enjoyed hunting mushrooms and spending time with his sons and grandkids.

He was married to Mona (Gregan), and together they raised four sons: Thomas James (Jana) of Woodward, Iowa, along with their children: Elsie, Abbott, Llewyn, Dagny and Elyas; Tyler Joseph (Kinsey), along with their children: Tytus, Tytan, Tyson, and a new baby girl due in October 2026; Tucker Jordan (Nytasha) of Twenty-Nine Palms, California, along with their children Theodore and Paislee; Last, but not least, Samuel Henry of Granger, Iowa.

Other family members left to mourn include his brother, Terry (Rita) Fowler of LeClaire, Iowa; Tony Fowler of Montgomery, Louisiana; sisters-in-law Mary Fowler (Gary Fowler) and Jessica Fowler (James Fowler); and many nieces and nephews.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Dora; his brothers, Gary, James (Beau), and Kenneth (Corky); and his uncle Danny Walker (Boone).

A Visitation will be held at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home (8201 Hickman Rd. Urbandale, Iowa) on September 11, 2026 from 11:00 to 1:00.
