Curtis Aaron Reames

Curtis Reames, age 47, of Adel, passed away suddenly Tuesday, May 30, 2017. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 6 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel with burial at Oakdale Cemetery. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home where family will greet friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Curtis worked for 23 years at Iowa Spring as a machinist. He loved flathead catfishing, hunting and riding his Harleys. He spent many hours working in his shop – mostly for others. If you rode with Curtis, we invite you to bring your ride to join the procession. Curtis is survived by his mother, Linda (Larry) Young; brothers, Tod, Mike and his sons Jacob and Trevor, Kelly and his son Christopher and daughter Alex; sister, Tammy Reames; Grandmother, Dorothy Reames; stepbrothers, Tony (Lori) Young and Don (Sheri) Young, and numerous other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Cedric “Ted” Reames. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Benevolent Association. Online condolences may be left on this site.
