Cornelia Darlene Denison

Cornelia Darlene Denison, 90, of Johnston passed away on August 1, 2018. A visitation will be from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Monday, August 6, 2018 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory in Urbandale. A graveside service will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday August 7, 2018 at Sunny Hill Cemetery in Grimes. Darlene was born on October 2, 1927 in Cedar Rapids, IA to Walter & Ruth Riggs. She was a 1945 graduate of Roosevelt High School in Cedar Rapids. She married H.G. “Bud” Denison on June 30, 1946. Together they had 4 children. Darlene is survived by her children, Connie Anderson, Sheron Metevia, Linda (Steve) McMullen, Jeff (Mischelle) Denison; sister, Margaret Bauer; 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, Paul and Bonnie. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Darlene’s name to Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
