Charles Eugene Meador ("Charlie"), age 61, passed away on July 3, 2026, in Des Moines, Iowa.

Charlie was born on February 2, 1965, in Corpus Christi, Texas to Terry Eugene Meador and Rita Faye Doerr.

Charlie dedicated his career to the electrical trade as a licensed electrician. At the time of his passing, he was employed as an Energy Marshal for EPI. He was known for his strong work ethic, willingness to lend a helping hand, and the care he put into everything he did.

Charlie was a lifelong devoted Dallas Cowboys fan. He had a passion for motocross and found great joy in sharing that passion with his children and his grandchildren, creating memories that will be cherished for generations. A proud Harley-Davidson rider and motorcycle enthusiast, Charlie loved the freedom of the open road and the friendships he made along the way.

More than anything, Charlie treasured the time he spent with his family. Whether surrounded by his children, grandchildren, relatives, or friends, he found his greatest happiness in being with those he loved. He lived a life defined by generosity, loyalty, and a willingness to help others, always putting the people he cared about first.

Charlie is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Mary-Alice LouEllen Burns and her husband, Matthew Kyle Burns; his sons, Justin Curren Meador and Tyler Christopher Meador; and his beloved grandchildren, Matthew Kyle Burns Jr. ("KJ"), Zoe Jane Lillian Burns, Lili Akemi Meador, and Liam Robert-Rusher Burns.

He is also survived by his siblings: Tammy Meador Wallace, Terry J. Meador Hammons, Jonathan Terry Meador.

Charlie was preceded in death by his father Terry Eugene Meador and his mother Rita Faye Doerr.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Charlie's life during visitation on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home in Urbandale, Iowa. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Charlie's kindness, strength, unwavering love for his family, and the countless lives he touched will never be forgotten. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
