Bryce James Webb

Bryce Webb, 76, of Winterset, Iowa, passed away on September 19, 2026, at his home.

Bryce James Webb, Sr. was born on January 8, 1950, in Earlham, Iowa, to Byron and Darlene (Slater) Webb. He graduated from Earlham High School and later proudly served his country in the United States Navy from September 2, 1969, until August 31, 1972.

On October 4, 1980, Bryce married Peggy J. Mayfield in Poteau, Oklahoma. Together, they shared 46 years of marriage and raised four children. Their family continued to grow over the years, blessing them with 12 grandchildren.

Bryce enjoyed traveling, fishing, gardening, biking, bird watching, playing board games, putting together puzzles, and swimming. A talented carpenter, he enjoyed working with his hands and took great pride in building two homes. Above all, Bryce was a devoted son, husband, father, and grandfather. He especially treasured time spent with his grandchildren, sharing his knowledge and teaching them along the way.

Bryce is survived by his wife, Peggy; mother, Darlene Webb; children, Beau Webb (Michelle) of Winterset, Ky Webb of Georgia, Bryce Webb Jr. (Heather) of Japan (settling in Chariton), Kelsey Bebernes (Danny) of West Des Moines; 12 grandchildren, Madison, Klaire, Olivia, Liam, Brody, Hayven, Logan, Nash, Lane, Lark, Levi, and Luke; and siblings, Kathy McLaughlin (Mike) and Keith Webb (Tara).

He was preceded in death by his father, Byron Webb.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 25, 2026 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, Winterset Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. 

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for a future designation.
