Bryan Randall Galivan Sr., 75, of Perry, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, February 15, 2026.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, Perry Chapel. Burial will follow at Rippey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family. Online condolences may be shared at www.caldwellparrish.com.
Bryan was born on October 6, 1950, at King’s Daughter Hospital in Perry, Iowa, to Robert Galivan and Leota (Davis) Galivan Crabb.
On July 20, 1968, Bryan was united in marriage to the love of his life, Mary Elizabeth Chenoweth, at First Assembly of God in Perry. Together they built a life centered on faith and family and were blessed with four children: Randall, Bryan Jr., Laura, and Douglas.
Bryan found joy in the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and had a lifelong interest in working on cars. After the passing of his beloved wife, he discovered a passion for gardening. His faith was an important part of his life, and he was actively involved at New Day Assembly of God.
He is lovingly remembered by his children: Randy (Jamie) Galivan of Perry; Bryan Galivan Jr. of Perry; Laura (Darrin) Holst of Bouton; and Doug (Erin) Galivan of Perry; ten grandchildren: Tessa Whitney (Layce Chicoine), Dylan Galivan, Patience Galivan (Benny Barroso), Aydan Galivan, Cale Holst, Samantha Galivan, Cooper Galivan, Cohen Galivan, Layton Holst, and Xander King; two great-grandchildren, Nova Barroso and Benigno Barroso; his sister, Cathy Elliott of Jamaica; his brother, Paul Crabb of Missouri; his faithful dog, Gabby; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Bryan was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Galivan and Leota Galivan Crabb; his wife, Mary Galivan; and his brother, Bob Galivan.
