Brian Jeffrey Junge

Brian Jeffrey Junge (54) of Windsor Heights, IA, went home to his Lord and Savior on May 3, 2026, after battling a longtime illness. Brian was born on March 15, 1972, to Robert and Wendy Junge in Cedar Falls, IA, and grew up in Reinbeck, IA. He would go on to graduate from Reinbeck High School in 1990, and later attend Ellsworth Community College.

Brian was active in boy scouts, played in jazz and marching band. He also ran on the track team. He loved music and was an accomplished trumpet player. He loved classic rock and enjoyed going to concerts with his friends. He was also a talented singer. He had a passion for cooking and loved creating new recipes.

Brian was in charge of store development for Factory Card and Party Outlet, traveling throughout the U.S. setting up new stores. He then settled in Des Moines, IA. In May of 2004, Brian started his company; Des Moines Karaoke and DJ Services, which he operated until his passing. He enjoyed bringing entertainment to his audiences whether it was karaoke in a local bar, a private party or a large wedding. He personalized every event and provided a massive music collection for his customers. He used his knowledge, interest and talent for music to create a business that just celebrated it’s 22nd year!

Brian is survived by his mother, Wendy Hark of Windsor Heights; aunts, Sharyn (Robert) Bohach of Mesa, AZ, Chris (Jim) Schlunz of Nevada IA, Merry (Gary) Cool of Iowa City, IA, Cindy Wilson of Cedar Falls, IA, uncles, Joseph (Becky) Wilson of Hudson, IA, Robert Wilson of Tucson, AZ; Melvin (Sue) Junge of Florida as well as a host of extended family and close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Junge; grandparents, Claus and Jean Junge, Harry and Dorothy Wilson; cousin Mike Meier; aunt, Linda Augustine.

Brian will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Life Church (15915 Hickman Rd, Clive, IA 50325) at 10:00 a.m. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at a later date at the Reinbeck cemetery.
