Bradford Kent Parker, 71, passed away at his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on November 24, 2025, after a long illness. He was the son of Donald and Natalie Parker of Perry, Iowa. Brad graduated from Perry High School in 1972 and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 1977.
He worked as a lead designer in Minneapolis; Ames, Iowa; and the San Francisco Bay Area until his retirement from Cisco Systems in Santa Clara, California, in 2017. Brad loved his work and was a friend and mentor to his coworkers throughout his career. His wry wit and uncommon practical intelligence will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; his brother, Brian Parker, of Perry; and his sister, Shelley Freisinger, of St. Charles, Missouri. The Parker family would appreciate donations to Raccoon River Pet Rescue in Brad’s memory.
