Barry Miller

Barry Gene Miller (Bear) was born in Burke SD on June 17, 1963 and passed away from this life July 1, 2025.

Bear is preceded in death by his father and mother, Venus John Miller and Ila May Armstrong Miller; his sister, LeAnn Burns; and brother, James Otto Miller.

Bear is survived by his wife, Sally Walker Miller; two daughters, Nicole Miller of Des Moines and Elizabeth Miller of Elkins, WV; 5 grandchildren, Kaitlin Anderson, McKinsey Anderson, Kyle Anderson, Kenadee Miessin, all of Des Moines, and Peyton Pritt of Elkins, WV; 3 great grandchildren, Laylani Collins, Preston Taylor, and Kobe Welker; and his niece and nephew of SD, Charleen Bruns Gill and Nicholas Bruns.

After serving in the US Navy, Bear moved to Des Moines where he met Sally. They spent 41 years together. When Bear was not helping others, he liked to watch westerns and work on his rat rod. He also liked wood working. Most knew Bear as a laid back guy with a great sense of humor like no other! (as he would say - it was warped!).

There will be no services held for Bear and he will be cremated as he wished.
