Barry Allen Lambert

Barry Allen Lambert was born on January 21, 1950 in Perry, Iowa to Raymond Joseph Lambert and June Maxine (Campbell) Lambert. In 1966 Barry and Candace Elaine Johnson were united in marriage. He lived in Perry for the majority of his life and graduated from Perry High School in May of 1968. Barry started working for the Perry Chief newspaper when he was 19 years old. Barry and Candace were blessed with a son Rodney Allen and a daughter Stephanie Jolene. When the kids were growing up they enjoyed several family vacations and loved to spend time with their families during the holidays. Barry loved fixing up cars, going to the car shows and auctions. He married Kathleen Kay Coleman in August of 1991. Barry liked watching NASCAR and the Kansas City Chiefs. When he wasn't busy fixing up old cars, he would take his Honda goldwing motorcycle out for a ride. Barry and Kathleen rode to South Dakota for Sturgis for 8 years. He would be the one getting the fire ready to cook and enjoy the time with friends he made. After Barry retired from the Perry Chief he worked with a friend doing plumbing. He enjoyed going to Colorado to his place during the summer months. Barry died on February 5, 2024 at the Dallas County Hospital in Perry, Iowa. He is preceded in death by his father Raymond Lambert, mother June Lambert Trevarthan, son Rodney Allen Lambert, great-granddaughter Rylnn Braunschweig, brothers Paul Lambert and Jerry Lambert, sisters Helen Conklin (Ronnie) and Charlotte Peterson, and stepfather Ed Trevarthan. Barry is survived by his daughter Stephanie Lambert of Berkley, IA; five grandchildren: Patrick Lambert (Gabby) of Florida, Lacey McCaffrey (Brent) of Monroe, IA, Ryan Braunschweig (Krystle Goldapske) of Waterloo, IA, Courtney Lambert (Aaron Dane) of Huxley, IA, and Tyler Low of Cedar Falls, IA; six great-grandchildren: Simone McCaffrey, Brayden McCaffrey, Micah Lambert, Aiden Taylor, Wyatt Goldapske, and Axl Braunschweig; two sisters: Nancy Collins (Jim) of Perry, IA and Tanna Corrigan (Tom) of Perry, IA; brother Harry Trevarthan of Perry, IA; sisters-in-law Trudy Lambert of Perry, IA and Edie Lambert of Texas; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Hastings Funeral Home in Perry. The visitation started one hour prior to the service.
