Anthony James Littleton

Anthony Littleton (60) of Perry, Iowa, passed away on January 23, 2025. A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Lutheran Church (5665 Merle Hay Road, Johnston, Iowa 50131) on February 6, 2025. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. and a luncheon will follow. 

Anthony James Littleton was born to Cecil and Ruby (Robison) Littleton on October 21, 1964, in Atlantic, IA and was the youngest of their 6 children. He was raised in Anita, Iowa where he attended school, graduating with the class of 1983. During high school he was involved in various activities to include basketball, baseball, and tennis. After graduating, he worked for Anita Printing for a couple of years and then moved to Des Moines to begin his career with A.A. Schneiderhahn. 

Tony married Tammy VanAernam on June 18, 1988. Although they later divorced, Tony gained two loving children, Kelsey and Jordan. In the fall of 1988, he was promoted to salesman and decided to move to Atlantic to be closer to friends and family. While living in Atlantic, Tony worked for Cappel’s Ace Hardware for several years and then began his employment as a plumber with Camblin Plumbing and Heating. He later moved back to the Des Moines area and worked as a plumber for the next twenty years. Tony enjoyed his job as a plumber and said it was his calling. He enjoyed meeting new customers and always wanted to do right by them.

Tony is preceded in death by his parents Ruby and Cecil Littleton, brother and sister-in-law Bill and Joan Littleton, and brother-in-law Rick Steffens.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Kelsey (Avery) Muniz, Jordan Littleton, one grandchild Charlie Bastin, sister Susan (Brad) Henry, sister Kristy (Jim) Smith, brother Byron Littleton, brother Mark (Darlene) Littleton, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
