Allendan "Allen" Madriaga

April 16, 1977 — December 27, 2023

Allendan “Allen” Inouya Madriaga, 46, of Perry, IA passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 27, 2023.

Allen was born in Hawaii on April 16, 1977 to Eufimo Madriaga and Theodora (Inouye) Madriaga. He attended Farington High School where he met his high school sweetheart, Stephanie, and the two spent 30 years together. They raised 3 beautiful children and Allen loved any time that he got to spend with them. He worked two jobs to support and provide for his family; he was a shift manager with Tysons and also worked as a cook alongside his son at the Whistling Donkey in Woodward. When Allen wasn’t working he was known as an excellent deep sea fisherman, even winning several awards in competitions throughout Hawaii. Once he moved to Iowa, though, he still enjoyed fishing in the lakes and ponds near his home.

Even after his move to Perry in 2002, Allen still found ways to embrace his Hawaiian roots and would often prepare traditional Hawaiian food for his family and friends. Everything that Allen did in his life was to support his wife and children, and he was an incredibly hard worker that would do anything to give them the best life possible. He will be remembered as an incredible husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law; Sheryl.

Those left to cherish Allen’s memory are his wife; Stephanie, his 3 children; Preston, Raven, and Alexander Madriaga, his granddaughter; Avalon Madriaga, his 4 brothers; Brian, Edgar, Eric, and Elbert, his Auntie Lori and Uncle Gary, as well as lots of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family for a future designation.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Allen will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place at Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry, IA.
