Alice Marquerite Stonehocker

Alice Marguerite Stonehocker, 90, of Redfield passed away on December 23, 2018. A visitation will be from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Thursday December 27, 2018 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home – McCalley Chapel in Adel. A funeral service will be at 10:30 AM on Friday December 28, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Harper Cemetery in Redfield. Alice was born on September 25, 1928 in Van Meter, Iowa to Raymond & Sylvia Bainter. She was married to John Carl Stonehocker for 54 years. Alice lived most of her life in Redfield. She was known as Grandma to everyone in the neighborhood. She is survived by her children, Jack Stonehocker, Jim (Ellen) Stonehocker, Joe Stonehocker; sister, Doris Harwood; 4 grandchildren who she raised, Brad Stonehocker, Lorrie Smith, Kerry (Andrew) Knode, Eric (Jessica) Stonehocker; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and many great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, John Stonehocker; grandson Derrick Stonehocker; siblings, Mertie Dahl, Susie Countryman, and Clarence Bainter.
