Alice Bettes

Alice (Ballard) Bettes was born on December 6, 1936 in Tahlequah, OK the daughter of Miller T. and Elizabeth (Carroll) Ballard. Alice married Jerry Bettes on May 28, 1965 in Enid, OK. Alice enjoyed collecting antiques, dolls, and watching Western movies and shows. She also enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, and shopping. But most of all, Alice enjoyed spending time with her family.

Alice died Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at her home in Adel. She was 86 years old.

She is survived by her children, David and Jill, William and Robbin, Gordon and Lee, Alan and Anna, and Greg and Sheri; sister, Barbara Hutchison; grandchildren, Jenny, Nathan, Taylor, Jim, John, Joe, Kendra, Jerica, Arvid, Karissa, Courtney, and Austin; great grandchildren, Ethan, Emma, Bowie, Nevara, Harper, Henry, Brianna, Georgia, Lila, Afton, Evlyn, Olyvia, Liam, Shawn, Carson, Lenonx, Westin, Lewis, and Eri and many nieces and nephews.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, first, husband, William Morton; second husband, Jerry Bettes; daughter, Debra Alice Morton; son, Kenneth J. Bettes; and great-granddaughter, Soren.

Funeral service for Alice will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 27, 2023, at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory ~ McCalley Chapel in Adel. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 AM with burial in Oakdale Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to her family for a future designation.
