Alan Anthony, born on February 11, 1950, in Iowa, passed away on June 2, 2025, at Carlisle Care Center. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work and resilience, having dedicated 34 years of his life to ABC Electric as a licensed electrician. Alan's journey began with his education in Adel, Iowa, where he graduated and then later attended technical school to master the craft of electricity. His career was marked not only by his expertise but also by the reputation he built as a true “mister-fix-it.” Friends and family alike knew him as someone who could often fix anything that was broken, reflecting his hardworking nature and problem-solving skills.
Alan faced numerous hardships throughout his life, yet, he always managed to find a way up and out, embodying the belief that hard work truly pays off. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he took pride in his personal achievements as a husband, father, and grandfather. In 1995, Alan and his family made the significant move to the country where they cultivated a rich lifestyle by raising cows, pigs, and hay.
His love for golf was a prominent part of his life; he seized every opportunity to play at courses wherever he could, cherishing those moments both for the sport and the camaraderie it fostered.
Alan is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy Anthony; children Michael Anthony, Jon Anthony, Phillip Anthony, Brett Anthony, Jeff Mease, and Jason Mease; and numerous grandchildren who will remember him fondly. He is also survived by his sister, Linda (Jerry) Johnson.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Teddy and Margaret Anthony, and his brother, Jack Anthony. His life was a testament to the value of dedication, the importance of family, and the belief that through diligence, one can overcome adversity. Alan Anthony will be dearly missed and remembered by all who loved and knew him.
