Agnes Catherine Flinn

Agnes Catherine Flinn (Schurman) died in her home in Prospect, KY, on Sunday, July 23, 2023. She was 73. She was born in Des Moines, IA in 1950 to Virgil and Grace Schurman of Lacona, IA. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Doyle. Agnes retired from the US Army after serving for 20 years. She also worked for the USDA and Social Security before retiring for good and moving to Kentucky to be closer to her grandchildren. "Grandma" as she was affectionately known, loved to cook, sew, and spend time with her family. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law William and Rosemary Flinn of Louisville, KY, and her three grandchildren Lola, Tommy, and Ian. She also leaves many brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Visitation for Agnes will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory in Adel. Graveside service will be held at 12:30 PM at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery will Military Honors.
