Sharon Shypkowski

Sharon Shypkowski, 75, died June 27, 2024 in Sarasota, Florida.

Sharon was born on January 30, 1949, at the Ottumwa Hospital in Ottumwa, Iowa to Vester E. and Velma Irene (Gravett) Wimp.

She graduated from Davis County Community High School in Bloomfield, Iowa in 1967.

She was employed by the State Department of Education in Des Moines for 43 years.

Sharon was united in marriage to John Shypkowski in 1984.

She had many friends and was very well liked by anyone who made her acquaintance.

Sharon loved traveling and spending time with her friends and family.

She is survived by her husband, John; step-son, Mickey (Tracy) Haverluk; sister-in-law, Ann Shypkowski and nieces and nephews.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Connie Tetmeyer; brother-in-law, John; sister, Carolyn Jackson; step-mother, Thelma (Slosser) Wimp and step-sister, Juanita Bonner and her husband, Jack Bonner.

A visitation will be from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, 8201 Hickman Road, Urbandale with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 PM .
